We ran big ones in 2023 and 2024. Good turnout, good energy, and we’re thankful for everyone who showed up. In 2026, we are shaking things up a little and for good reason too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are focusing only on the stuff that actually matters, the talks, the conversations, the people. Stuff that didn’t get enough room to breathe before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Event Dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Contributor Day: 2nd October 2026 Real talks.<\/strong> We are making sure to cover the full spectrum of knowledge for all. Real experts sharing real-life experience; a speaker walks you through a real workflow. That’s worth more than a slide you check later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is what WordCamp has always been about anyway, people showing up and teaching each other what they picked up the hard way over the year. So we’re going after sessions that leave you with something you can actually use on Monday morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Real connections.<\/strong> Well, nobody remembers the swag bag a year later. But they remember the person they sat next to at lunch. Or the five-minute hallway conversation that turned into a job, a client, or a friendship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That’s the actual engine behind every WordCamp Sylhet. So this year, we’re building in more room for exactly that. Talk to attendees, talk to sponsors too, not just as logos on a banner but as people who showed up for the same reason you did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Keep it lean.<\/strong> Going back to the basics of WordCamp, same stage, some faces are familiar and some are new. Beauty of Sylhet, good talks, good food, and good people in the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And honestly, that’s the whole recipe. It always was. Strip away the noise and what’s left is the part that actually mattered from the start, people learning from each other, face to face, in one room, from the same community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n No swag this year.<\/strong> This is big, we know. But we’re keeping the format simple, and that means skipping the swag tables, ours and our sponsors’. Is that unusual for a tech event? Maybe. But that way, the focus stays where we want it. On the sessions. On the people. On the reason we’re all showing up in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Venue and Registration Details:<\/strong> Same venue as before, the central auditorium of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology. Same stage where we’ve had some great sessions in the past. We’ll share details soon on how to register and grab your spot.
