Welcome to WordCamp Sylhet! We are thrilled to announce that we are again hosting WordCamp Sylhet on 2nd–3rd October 2026, and we invite you to be a part of it.

The organization of WordCamp and its maintenance largely depends on volunteers, and this is an invitation to join us.

Our volunteer call is open to everyone, regardless of whether WordPress is your life or if you’re just getting to know WordPress and its community.

We are looking for energetic persons who are smart, efficient, and ready to do anything to get the job done.

Volunteering can undoubtedly provide you with several great experiences, memories, and new acquaintances! We actually need you to organize and host WordCamp Sylhet 2026! Above all, you will have the opportunity to attend a fantastic event where, in addition to sharing knowledge, there is a strong emphasis on connecting, socializing, and making new friends.

What awaits you as a volunteer?

People organizing WordCamps do it completely free of charge. However, participating in their preparations adds prestige in the WordPress community. Additionally:

• You will receive a free ticket for the event as well as all accompanying activities (even if you are applying as a volunteer, we encourage purchasing a ticket in advance because we do not have any reserved tickets to provide if you do not get the role. If you are chosen as a volunteer, you may request a ticket refund or distribute the ticket to anybody you like)
• Not to mention an exclusive invite to the Organizers Party!

What are we expecting from you?

Now, let’s talk about the responsibilities. We’ve already discussed the benefits, but here’s what else needs to be addressed and what is expected of you:

• Help with registration of participants at the entrance
• Helping participants in orientation – finding their way around WordCamp, to direct them or introduce them to details, where what is
• Helping sponsors with setting up their booth and with some general questions if they have any
• Support and help for Contributors’ day as well
• Technical assistance at lecture venues
• Taking care of some frequent continuing difficulties that undoubtedly arise
• Helping speakers 
• Help with meal preparation and storage

Through these activities, you get to know sponsors, speakers, participants, the local community, but also the wider community from the region that will take part in the event.

• To apply as a Volunteer, please fill out the application form
• Your application will be examined as soon as possible by the team
• After this phase, you will be notified whether you were chosen or not
• We will contact you through email to explain the next steps
