Throughout the history of mankind, curiosity has taken humankind forever. Whether it is the invention of “fire”, or “wheel” – curiosity helped humankind to go further. Curiosity has never cared about appearances. It asks questions that don’t sound impressive. It stays with topics nobody else finds exciting. It spends an hour searching for an answer that never becomes a social media post. It forgets time. It wanders into rabbit holes without wondering whether anyone will clap at the end. In 2005’s Stanford talk, Steve Jobs famously quoted, Stay hungry. Stay foolish. This talk is about why that advice is still relevant, even in the AI era. This session explores the quiet, radical power of human curiosity and how it consistently dismantles the walls of defensiveness to drive progress. Looking back through history, the greatest breakthroughs happened when people chose to be curious instead of giving up. Whether it’s Alexander Fleming discovering penicillin, the Wright brothers’ endless curiosity about wind tunnels and aerodynamics, or a college dropout taking a calligraphy class that shaped the fonts on our screens, curiosity has always triumphed through the ages.
